Mark Your Calendars—NEPCA is coming to Providence!

Northeast Popular/American Culture Association Fall Conference

Providence College | October 24-25, 2014

Rhode Island offers a lively and unique setting to explore popular culture. Providence provides a treasure trove of historical sites, great museums, a bustling arts scene, and some of the nation’s best restaurants. ProvidenceCollege is conveniently located near Interstate 95, the Providence Amtrak station, and is only 15 minutes from TF Green Airport.

The Northeast Popular/American Culture Association is now accepting paper proposals on popular and American culture, broadly construed, for its annual fall conference to be held on Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25, 2014 on the campus of ProvidenceCollege. NEPCA prides itself on holding conferences which emphasize sharing new ideas and works-in-progress in a non-competitive and supportive environment. We welcome proposals from graduate students, junior faculty, and senior scholars.

For more information—including the paper proposal form see the NEPCA website:

http://nepca.wordpress.com/fall-conference/

To submit a proposal, please complete the form with abstract and send to both Bob Hackey, the 2014 Program Chair (rhackey@providence.edu) and to the appropriate Area Chair. A complete list of area chairs is also available on the NEPCA web site:

http://nepca.wordpress.com/fall-conference/nepca-area-chairs/

Both proposals for individual papers and complete panels will be considered.

The deadline for all proposal submissions is Monday, June 9, 2014.
